Crowthers of Canterbury are putting together a concert and exhibition of oboes on 3rd November at St James' Piccadilly. In case any of you are interested in coming or have students who might be want to hear some lovely oboe rep and try some beautiful new instruments, more info is pasted below.....

The event highlights the oboe in a variety of musical genres, from Baroque to Jazz, and features stunning soloists Melinda Maxwell, Alison Teale, James Turnbull and acclaimed jazz pianist David Rees Williams. The Festival Chamber Orchestra will be directed by internationally acclaimed conductor, Stephen Barlow.

In addition to the Concert, an exhibition of Loreé and Marigaux instruments will be available from 17.30 which provides a wonderful opportunity to try Oboes and Cors Anglais from these prestigious makers.
